KinderWorld Education Group, founded in 1986 in Singapore, believes in offering a combination of Eastern values with an International outlook on education.

Since 2000, KinderWorld Education Group successfully established 15 international school campuses under the brand name of KinderWorld International Kindergarten (KIK) and Singapore International School (SIS) in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Binh Duong and Vung Tau.

Pegasus International UniCollege was established in 2011 as part of our global plan to provide higher education pathways and further education for our students beyond High School.

Our first campus; Pegasus International UniCentre in Hanoi provides training courses in:
• Hospitality, Tourism & Commercial Cookery
• Language & Communication
• Early Childhood Education
These courses aim at achieving a high level of job readiness and industry relevance for our graduating students.

Pegasus International UniCollege (PIU) offers a global approach to education through the extensive provision of hands-on training, market knowledge and tailor-made programmes to meet sector-specific needs. The courses are offered in unison with leading institutions with a high degree of recognition. Courses delivered at Pegasus International UniCollege are accredited with the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF) or the International Vocational Qualifications from the UK and the Europass Certificate Supplement.
We are currently in the process of developing a purpose-built University College. This College will provide students with alternative pathways for through-trained education from Kindergarten to University.

Head of Languages and Communication
Ha Noi

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Centre Director, the Head of Languages and Communication is mainly responsible for the overall management and performance of the School of Languages and Communication at Pegasus International UniCentre. This includes ensuring the academic quality and operational efficiency of the delivery of the School’s training programmes.
 
ACADEMIC OPERATIONS
 
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of training courses of the School of Languages and Communication and ensure that the overall delivery of the these courses is in compliance with the standards and requirements of the accreditation organizations / bodies and in line with the Company’s purpose of pursuing high quality training for students
  • Working hand-in-hand with Marketing Department and Enrolment Department to drive the student enrolment for respective languages courses launched by the School  
  • Being responsible for the implementation of efficient and effective teaching & learning policies, procedures and strategies of the School of Languages and Communication under any Pegasus’s arms.
  • Keeping up to date with and respond to international developments in the subject area and teaching practice and methodology;
  • Establishing the necessary structures and quality controls to ensure that the academic offering of the School is both relevant and of a high quality.
  • Driving and strengthening relations with industry partners/enterprises to support the delivery of corporate training programmes in the area of languages and communication.
  • Creating and fostering a continuous improvement ethos in all academic activities undertaken
  • Undertake a role within the KKPS School Sector:
  • Oversee the implementation of the ESL strategy for the school sector;
  • Develop and implement English Placement Tests for Prep classes and SIS classes;
  • Identify, evaluate and procure appropriate teaching resources to assist schools in implementing the EFL Strategy;
  • To develop, implement and monitor quality assurance processes, such as structured observations, reporting (e.g. lesson plans) and course evaluation procedures in liaison with the Principal;
  • To oversee course delivery and assessments of High School EFL programs to ensure they meet KinderWorld quality standards, as well as the standards of the accrediting body
  • To ensure EFL programs are well-integrated in the mainstream curriculum, in close liaison with the Principals
  • To conduct or teach English language training programs as required;
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as Cambridge ESOL, Cambridge International Examinations, ACT, City & Guild, publishers and suppliers;
  • Participate in staff recruitment as required;
  • Participate in general educational leadership at Pegasus, including but not limited to involvement in teaching and learning committees, advisory groups; academic board, etc;
  • Set annual budget in consultation with the Chief Accountant and Centre Director and meet KPIs for the School;
  • Represent the KinderWorld Education Group at conferences and other external forums;
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
 
  • Being an active member of the Curriculum Development Team for Pegasus
  • Developing a comprehensive curriculum frame work to support the delivery of training courses in Languages and Communicationwhich include but is not limited to:
o             English for Career Purposes
§        International English for Speakers of Other Languages [IESOL]
§        English for Business Communication
§        IELTS preparation (Academic)
§        TOEIC Preparation
o             English for Study Purposes
§        General English
§        English for Academic Purposes
o             English for School-Age Learners
§        Fun for Starters, Movers and Flyers
§        English Proficiency Program
  •  Undertaking research, development and testing activities of new curriculum and teaching methods to facilitate the launch of any curriculum innovation initiatives within Pegasus and ensure the highest quality in delivering those initiatives.
 
 
OTHERS
  •  Supporting the Management in the development and implementation of company initiative
  • Other duties as assigned by his/her Direct Supervisor and Management from time to time.
   
 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Master Degree in TESOL or equivalent
  • Five years working experience in a leadership position in a Language School or University / College setting
  • Mature, articulate and with a flair for marketing
